Director Pammi Somal's Mummy Punjabi is the social drama movie. It focuses on the relationship of mother and children.

Babby ji is the woman lives in Chandigarh city. Her only dream is to find perfect matches for her two sons, Karan and Ajun, and one daughter Simran.
Babby ji have decided whole life of her children. She have decided their past and future, and characteristics of would be spouses of her children. And she want to see this happens. Babby’s husband always remains busy with his stock market work.
Kanwal is a neighboring bearded sardar, who still have infatuation with babby ji and so have not still married.
After that what happen tells the movie...
Will after marrying her children stay with her... or will they go away…

Film is written and directed with very melodramatic tone. Name of Babby's children are filmy. She doesn’t give chances to her children to develop and do not give them enough space. She is very dominating and commanding in nature.
In second half of movie, when her children left her, it looks sad that she have been left alone. But you don’t feel much sorry to her; instead you may feel that at least her children can now live somehow, though sadly without a complete family and lovely parents. You only will feel sorry for loving husband of babby ji. Film is neither serious, nor funny.

Nothing is really good in movie, except the loving husband of Babby ji. Bad points of movie are its story, screenplay, direction, and prime protagonist to whom you can not connect.
Film may be liked by followers of old tradition.

Reviewer Verdict: It is avoidable movie.
