Then what happens tells the movie...
Will Rahul play for Indian football team... or selection politics will come in his way...
Film is very average. It starts as a promising movie, but end up into a very average movie. It is the mistake of either the story/screenplay or direction, that at one time it is a sport movie and other time it is movie based on selection politics. Director does not able to focus on any of two aspects.
When movie warms up on a football sport and matches, it suddenly changes into a movie based on selection politics. When there is so many good sport movies released in recent past, this one failed to impress.
What good in movie is the challenges which a football player or player of any other game faces in India. While what bad in this movie is its loose focus.
It might be liked by fan of football in India.
Do not compare this movie with other Hindi sport movies like Lagan, Chak De India, Patiala House, Goal etc otherwise you will end up as disappointed.
Reviewer Verdict: It is better to avoid movie if you are not fan of sport movies and not very willing to see selection politics issue.
