Director Prawaal Raman's 404 Error Not Found is a psychological thriller. Film shows elements of college ragging and horror.

Abhimanyu is a rational student who comes to college and hostel for studying medical science. A room number 404 of hostel is rumored to be haunted, in which a previous student have done suicide 3 years ago. Abhimanyu and his class-mates are become victim of ragging, on which Abhimanyu strongly react. Subsequent events, lead him to sift in room number 404. Same time Abhimanyu develops good friendly relationship with his college's psycological professor (which is visiting faculty) Anirudh and his wife.
Abhimanyu start to see ghost of student who had committed suicide. Now, Abhimanyu which is a rational student and is very well aware that it might be happen just because of his hallucination, and not a reality. He is also aware that reason of hallucination might be because of ragging and room number 404 in which he is living.
Now movie then tells the story of clashes in the ideas of hallucination and ghost stories…
What happens next tells the story…
Will he is hallucinated or seeing the ghost… And will professor Anirudh help him in this…

Ragging is become almost tradition, but it is healthy only if it taken as light fun. It can easily go worse, if taken seriously from either of senior or junior. Our protagonist Abhimanyu is becomes victim of serious ranging and same time he has to face events happening in room number 404.
Even though movie is too serious, but you can experience the psychologies of students who do ranging and being ragged. You will experience a nice psychological thriller.

Performances are good, direction and screenplay is good and tight. But movie failed to give any strong message, and it is way too serious.
Movie will be liked by psychology students; serious movies fan, and have interest about knowing ragging.
Do not expect happy ending otherwise you may end up in disappointment. See it for its psychological thriller (not a simple thriller). And to be part of ragging which is became a tradition.
Reviewer Verdict: It can be watched if you’re missing psychological thriller. And want to see some debate on ragging is good or bad.
