Director Maneesh Sharma's ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ is a crime comedy movie. Maneesh's last film was 'Band Baaja Baaraat', which was his directorial debut. Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma are lead protagonists in both the film. 'Band Baaja Baaraat' was a big hit with lesser star value. Let’s see whether Maneesh able to repeat success of his last film.
Ricky Bahl is a young conman who con people specially by fooling girls. He con three girls Dimple Chaddha, Raina Parulekar, Saira Rashid and looted their money. Three of them meet and decide to con Ricky and get back their money. Three ladies take help of their friend Ishika Desai. Ishika meet Ricky and try to con him.
Then what happens tell the movie...
Will ladies' plan goes as it planned...? Will Ricky get success to con them again...?
Film's story and screenplay are its strength. Film keep itself interested and expectation till the last and it’s successful in it. Performances of all actors are very good, direction is also very good. Parineeti Chopra as Dimple is the surprise package in film, she makes her presence notable among all ladies, and she is very comic in her dialogue. Dipannita Sharma also done good job. Anushka Sharma's role is not much noticeable, she does not have much to do. However, Feministic may not like the ending of film.
Good points of film are its good story, screenplay, performances, and direction, while bad points of film are its melodramatic end.
Film may be liked by fan of gender fight story and witty crime story films.
Reviewer Verdict: Film is watchable film.
