Shakal Pe Mat Ja (movie review)

Review Writer: Ajay Bharat
Rating: ***

Director Shubh Mukherjee's ‘Shakal Pe Mat Ja’ is a crime comedy movie. Shubh is also playing the role of one of the lead protagonists in film.

Four young men are caught up as suspected terrorists at airport on a high alert day. While, they claimed themselves to be amateur documentary filmmakers. Though none of them look like terrorists, but particular police officers believe that physical appearances do not always reflect reality of a person. An incident further makes police officers doubt on them stronger. Now those suspected terrorists are trying hard to prove their innocence.
Then what happens tell the movie...
Do they really are terrorists... If they are not terrorists, than what will they do for proving their innocence...?

Film at its very first look, look like an amateur efforts. Film has good theme, story, and script. But screenplay is not very impressive, direction is messy, and performances are average. However, even with all these things, film is still watchable with ok humor made up around a crime. Most of the sequences are too messy; so many characters are running here and there. There is very little focus on what each character are doing. Film lacks in intense acting and screenplay. Film looks somewhat similar to 2011 Bollywood film ‘Delhi Belly’.

Good points of movie are its good theme, story, and script, while bad points of movie are its messy screenplay & direction, average performances.
It will be liked by fan of comedy films made up around a messy crime situation.
Do not expect any innovative new comic sequence in film.
Reviewer Verdict: Film can be watched.
