Director Lalit Marathe's Shabri is a crime thriller movie. It tells the story of a female crime boss in Mumbai city.
Shabri is a young woman living with his younger brother and parents in Mumbai slum area. Shabri is honest and hard-working woman and works for a small flour mill. Shabri's younger brother is killed in police custody, after police arrested him in some wrong charges. Shabri takes revenge on police officer responsible of killing his brother, which increases the police pressure on the area and local mafia. Mafia became enemy of Shabri. Now Shabri have to fight with both police and mafia. Shabri decided to kill mafia boss bhaau.
Then what happen tells the movie...
Will police arrest her...? Will bhaau's goons kill her...?
Will Shabri kill bhaau...?
It is same old story of RGV camp, in which a common man turns into gangster. Only difference here is this time it is a common woman, who turns into gangster. However performances are very good and direction is also good. Film has some interesting turns and characters.
Though, same kinds of characters, and turns in movie have seen in other crime thrillers released in recent years.
Good points of movie are good performances, directions, and screenplay. While some bad points of movie can be story have nothing new.
Film will be liked by fan of crime thriller movies.
