Director Hriday Shetty's 'Chaalis Chauraasi' is a crime and comedy thriller movie.
Four friends Pankaj Purushottam Suri aka Sir, Albert Pinto aka Pinto, Bhaskar Sardesai aka Bobby, Shakti Chinappa aka Shakti planned to looting Rs 20 crore from a remote and lonely house of goons. They planned to pretend as police officers with a police vehicle, but they do not have any further plan. They wasted a lot of time to enjoy as the police officers, and situation takes turn when an actual police officer stops them.
Then what happen tells the movie...
What will actual police officer do...? Why he stops them and did he recognize them as fake police... Will four friends succeed in looting Rs. 20 crore from goon's house...?
It is a good comedy movie with heist crime in centre of movie. Performances given by actors are good. Story is also good. Film moves bit slowly in the middle portion with unnecessary long introduction of characters. After one or two introduction, you might really lost interest in who they are and why they are so.
Good points of film are its good story and performances, direction is partly good. While the bad points of film is its unnecessary slow paced long introduction of each characters which slow down the speed of film.
Film will be liked by fan of crime comedy movies.
Do not expect any moral and good characters in film.
Reviewer Verdict: Film is watchable.
