Director Shakun Batra's 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' is a romantic comedy movie. Film tries to show life of youngsters, love relations, and attitude of mature persons.
Rahul Kapoor is young jobless architects, who recently rejected in job interview. Rahul is trying to live according to his unhappy parents and try to make them happy about him. Raina Braganza is a hairstylist, who recently dumped her 6th Mr Rights. At Christmas Eve, Rahul and Raina spend a drunken night together, next morning they discover that they had married last night. Both of them wanted to get marriage annulled. Chances make them live together for few days, and these days they seems to developed love feelings for each other.
Then what happen tells the movie...
Do both of them started to love each other... Do they finally annul their marriage...? How they spend time together in few days which affects them in some way...
At first look, film look like the same old story of opposite attracts, but this film shows it in from different angle. Film is somewhat different from usual romantic comedies. Film initial part is somewhat look inspired from Hollywood film 'what happens in vegas', but this film is very different from that film. It is a daring attempt to show romantic film from different perspective. Performances from Kareena and Imran are very good.
Good points of film are good performances from actors, good direction, cinematography, story, screenplay, while bad point of film might be called the middle part of film where story do not look like evolving naturally and a bit slow, but probably for good reason.
Film will be liked by fan of romantic comedy and youngster problems film.
